Since buying out the inventory of the old East Tennessee Comics in Knoxville in 1981, Mark has been selling comics since then. Mark promoted Classy Con in Knoxville for about 10 years and a few conventions around Chattanooga and at Eastgate Mall in the 1990s. He owned a comic store in Knoxville from 1983-1985 called Classy Comics. After some time away from comics, Mark got back into selling comics in 2015 after purchasing a comic collection from an old friend. Mark specializes in older comics, generally before about 1985
