About US

family“Why are you called FarleyCon?”
It’s a question we get a lot — and the answer means everything to us.
FarleyCon Pop Culture and Comic Book Expo is named in honor of Jared Allen, who many knew and loved as Jay Farley. Jared was a longtime vendor at conventions across the Southeast and a staple in the community — always behind the table with a smile, sharing his passion for wrestling, toys, and comics. More than that, he was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a true friend.
Jared and I shared a dream: to create a convention that combined everything we loved — a place where fans of wrestling, toys, and comics could come together as one community. When he passed away suddenly on February 10, 2016, that dream became a mission.
On April 30, 2016, we held the very first FarleyCon in his memory.

Since then, FarleyCon has grown into something truly special. But at its heart, it remains a tribute to Jared — and to the passion and joy he brought to everyone around him. His legacy lives on through every vendor, every fan, every guest, and every laugh shared on the show floor.
FarleyCon isn’t just a name — it’s a promise to keep his spirit alive in everything we do.
